Backpacking List

My Canary Islands Backpacking List

We are discovering the Canary Islands with AIDA Cruises. In fact, we have booked this trip before, exactly one year ago. For anyone who has the opportunity to go on a trip with a cruise ship, do it! It is just incredibly beautiful and you discover many countries and cities in a short time.

I would like to take this as an opportunity and introduce you to my backpacking packing list. Since 2017, I’m officially a backpacker and traveling with an backpack only.

In the beginning (and sometimes still today) it is a real challenge not to pack too many things you don’t need, but you have as much as you need.

Over time, I have found a healthy mediocrity and would like to introduce you to my packing list for the Canary Islands Tour.

I’m packing my suitcase and bringing…

For my trips, I usually pack clothes in simple, dark colors. The advantage: The clothes are easier to combine with each other, I do not have to pay attention, that T-shirt and pants didn’t fit together. In addition, I choose wrinkle-free clothing (trekking pants and shirts are great for that), you do not always have the opportunity to iron your clothes on site.

Since it is pleasantly warm in the Canary Islands in the winter during the day, but it is still a bit freezing in the evening, I have packed a few warmer things. I choose to layer clothes – several thin layers on top of each other, so you can put on and off your clothes as you please.
